First, let us say that we’re very pleased to have you browsing our website. If we were planning an event, our first thought would be: “who are the folks behind the scenes?”
We were first inspired to start our own business when the vice president of a local business inquired about our services catering their annual Christmas party. A few years later, when Whitney was 8 months pregnant, we decided to take the leap. That was the beginning of B&W Catering Company.
B&W Catering Company is a family-owned business, run by my wife Whitney, as the event coordinator, and myself (Brent Battis) handling the menu planning and cooking. We met in 2007 at the Hanover Inn in Hanover, NH where our roles were similar. Fast forward and we were married and started a family with our son Oliver, who was born on July 24, 2014. We welcomed our second son Oscar on April 7, 2021. 🙂 Oliver adores his little brother.
Whether we were catering a large collegiate event or an intimate private home dinner – sourcing the very best ingredients prepared in simple and delicious ways with the utmost care for the experience of our guests was the driving goal. Our family values revolve around the sharing of good times and good food and we want to provide that feeling with any event we’re involved in.
Anyone in a service company knows that you’re only as good as your staff. You can have the best vision, but they are the ones that execute it. Our staff are all people we’ve known and worked with on events for years. We count them among our closest friends and they share our love of great food and hospitality. Hardworking, long hours in close stressful conditions only make them work better. Their passion and dedication make the whole vision happen.
